Will numerous MRI's of the brain be a cause of thyroid cancer??!

Question:

Will numerous MRI's of the brain be a cause of thyroid cancer??

I had 5 or 6 MRI's and 2 CAT scans within a month and then surgery to remove a pituitary tumor. It was not cancerous. Now, a month and a half after my surgery, I have a large thyroid nodule. I have horseness and neck pain as well as excessive weight gain. (15 lbs since surgery.)

Answers:

The pituitary gland controls the thyroid.

It's not the MRIs. My friend has had 17 in five years.

Thyroid hormone is easy to replace, and the weight can be worked off easily once your hormone levels are balanced.
