I'm quitting smoking how long until cravings ease off?!

Question: I'm quitting smoking how long until cravings ease off?
I have been smoking for many years and have finally decided to quit, I had a throat infection and smoking hurt so I decided not to, it's been 3 days so far and my sore troat has gone but that's when I noticed I needed a smoke! someone gave me one and I instantly said no thank you and gave it back without thinking about it!
I heard the first 5 days are the worst is this true?

they say the first 2 weeks are the hardest and if you can do that then you can quit

By the end of the first week out, the nicotine cravings are done and gone....the hard part is replacing the habit. Replacing the hole left in your daily routine sans-cigarette is the key to success. Toothpicks, vegie sticks, ink pens, drinking straws, etc...something you can trick your fingers with will go a long ways. Nobody drops a habit, it's always just replaced by something else!

Actually the worst time for cravings is the third week. Usually the first week is kind of rough. Then the second week you're at the point where you're just not thinking about it. But the third week is when you're body is really starting to get rid of there for wants it. A lot of people give up through out the third week.

If you really want to break the addiction forever. This blog has a program that DOES WORK! I smoked 20 Cigarettes a day+ I could not stop. I looked for many products to help me but none did… until I found this! http://stopsmokingimmediately.blogspot.com/ to quit in less then an hour and never go back again.

it does get to the worst between 3 days to a week but at about a week and a half you will notice your cravings easing off, take this from a previous smoker
