Morning Allergies, stuffy nose and congestion HELP?!

Question: Morning Allergies, stuffy nose and congestion HELP?
Every night when I go to sleep, my allergies seem completely fine, nostrils are pretty open, etc (I do take benadryl and use breathe right strips), but when I wake up in the morning, my nose is always really stuffy and congested... What could be causing this?

Answers:

There are many environmental things that could be causing this (ex. Mold, dust, bed mites, etc). But there are also food related things that may cause this. For anyone with sinus trouble, frequent congestion, or even a head cold, it's advisable to avoid dairy products for a week or 2 to see if it makes a difference. Where this is a frequent thing, I would advise try to stay away from milk, cheese, yogurt etc. for at least a couple of weeks. My bet is that it will make a difference. Dairy products increase mucus production and therefore can make you more congested.

In saying that, there are lots of other food allergies or sensitivities that can make you feel congested (certain preservatives for one). I recommend seeing a Nauropathic Doctor or a Holistic Nutritionist to find out what your food sensitivities are.

Decongestant tablets and antihistamines tablets from the doctor. The shop ones are toys and are not strong enough. But the Decongestants from the shops will work well!
