How do you pop unpopable hard white heads without resorting to a hot needle and!

Question:

How do you pop unpopable hard white heads without resorting to a hot needle and end up bleeding?

I am 48 and just stared getting these tiny hard white heads that are impossible to pop without a needle or pin. As they show up so prominently i resort to poping one using a hot needle and piercing a tiny hole on one side then using my nails to push out the tiny hard white head out. sometimes this is very difficult to do especially on the eyelids and it seems that they are occuring around the eye and cheekbone area
This is very time consumming and painful with bleeding. Does anyone know what kind of pimples i'm talking about? Please help!

Answers:

The white dots you are referring to are most likely a common skin condition known as "milia". This is where "pearl-like" whiteheads (can look a little like small grains of sand), occur across the upper cheeks, under eyes, and sometimes on nose, or chin. Milia mostly occur on your face, but can also appear on your décolletage, chest, back or shoulders.

Basically, millia are dead skin cells and sebum (your skins natural oil) that have accumulated and are trapped under the superficial top layer of your skin. These blockages in your pores will disappear of their own accord, and once removed, will probably not return.

Milia is a common skin condition, and more often than not simply a matter of needing to exfoliate more to keep the skin soft and smooth. Regular exfoliation helps to prevent the top layer of the skin from becoming too tough, which can cause a plug to occur, blocking the pore, instead of letting the skin perform its natural excretion of sebum and keratinised cells. Milia even occurs in newborns, and tends to disappear just as quickly from the gentle exfoliation of sheets, clothing and general bathing, which naturally sloughs off the top layer of the skin.
