Will I catch the flu if both of my parents have it?!

Question: Will I catch the flu if both of my parents have it?
Okay, so my dad has had the flu for a few days now, and my mom started experiencing all of the symptoms last night, so we're assuming that she has it too. I'm trying to stay away from them so I don't catch it, but yesterday I was hugging my mom a lot (I didn't feel well either-cold symptoms) so I'm a little concerned. I have asthma problems when I get sick, so I've been home for the past two days. I don't have a fever right now, so I don't think I have the flu, but my dad coughs all over the place...so what are the chances of me catching the flu? :(
My immune system is kind of weak, but I take vitamins to strengthen it. If i am catching the flu, how long does it take for symptoms to show up? I mean the only symptoms that I don't have yet are fever/body aches....
Thanks :)

Answers:

Probably. Influenza is highly contagious. I'd say you're going to start showing symptoms within the next day or two.

Did you get a flu shot? If not, you probably will catch the flu from your parents. BTW the flu shot will not keep you from getting the flu, but if you do it won't be so bad.
