Is is possible to catch Hepatitis C ........?

If someone who does not have Hep C uses a syringe and then, a week or so later, uses it again (on themself) without cleaning or sterilizing it properly, can they contract it.?

thank you both for your concern but i assure you that 'I' am NOT the person in question here. I want to know if 'Hep C' and only 'Hep C' can form in non-infected blood by itself.

if the person using the syringe doesn't have hcv and uses his own syringe, then no. however, if someone got a hold of that syringe and used it and was infected with hcv, then yes, the person who originally used it can get hcv. hcv can reconstitute when blood is reintroduced. (no longer than 18 days).

my question is, how does this person know if he isn't infected? many folks aren't aware of the disease. often overlooked or misdiagnosed because their liver enzymes were within normal limits of a standard blood lab. get tested for antibodies!
