Question: Can I contract mumps if i was vaccinated?
I'm 50 was vaccinated as a child. My 19yr old daughter who was also vaccinated was just diagnosed with mumps. Can I now catch it from her?

Yes. Last year there was an outbreak of mumps in a Jewish community in New York. The vast majority of infected people had been vaccinated for mumps.
If you had gotten actual mumps as a child, you wouldn't need to worry about it, as natural immunity lasts a lifetime.
I don't think you will get it because you are immune to it because you were vaccinated I had mumps a few years ago (I got it from the vaccine) and my bros who weren't vaccinated didnt get it
