Blue dots on hands and feet?!

Question: Blue dots on hands and feet?
It started a couple days ago. I noticed it on my hands, then I had quite a bit on my feet. They disappear then come back the next day in different spots on my hands. I don't know what it is.
It's not food coloring or anything. What's wrong with me?

Answers:

Sounds like you need a blood test. How big are they? These could be petechiae.

Petechiae are caused when small blood vessels under the skin break. They are like little baby bruises, kind of. They are most common in places that endure a lot of strain, particularly in the feet. They are usually a reddish/purplish/bluish color. I have a blood disorder, so I get them all the time. They can indicate anemia, particularly a low platelet count. You should get them checked out immediately, just to be safe.
