My legs are swollen, but when I jog it goes away. What is this condition called !

Question:

My legs are swollen, but when I jog it goes away. What is this condition called & other solution than jogging?

Height 5'7. Weight 112. In my 30s. Good health (vitals are all normal blood pressure, pulse, though slightly anemic. )I've always had this problem since high school. I don't like jogging. I like bike riding, but that doesn't work. I hate the way my legs look swollen though everyone else thinks they look great, but I know they are swollen, because after I have jogged they look thinner, within one week of one mile jogging.

I do yoga, bike ride, I walk quite a deal so...what can I do other than jog.

I'm also vegetarian, almost vegan.

I'm in the middle of changing jobs. This job requires a physical IF it's something major I don't want this on my record, because my new job won't cover it or won't hire me. I work in education, getting a fulltime perm gig in higher education is impossible. I don't want to give them a reason.

I'm just wondering if someone out there has something similar.

Answers:

If it's cyclic and you are female, could it be hormonal fluctuations making it more pronounced? If you're able to jog, I doubt it's heart failure. Try drinking more water and avoid caffienated beverages and carbonated beverages. I know it sounds backwards, but drinking more water will help eliminate water retention in individuals with otherwise normal medical histories. (It dilutes the electrolytes that make you retain water.) If you have any medical conditions that would make drinking extra water risky, don't do it.
