Are the nurses at your endocrinologist's office really stupid, or is it jus!

There are a few nice nurses at mine that I would trust with my life, but there are a few that are so ignorant that I wonder how they keep the job. I've had one nurse (an endo nurse) come up to me and ask me what it was like to not be able to eat candy. I told her I was a type 1 diabetic. Turns out she didn't know that type 1 diabetics could eat candy or sugary things. Also, some are just plain rude. In fact, my endocrinologist fired one for being so rude to me and mommy :)

I don't see an endo, but at my doctor's office there's a very loud and obnoxious nurse who likes to go from room to room blurting out people's conditions.

In the room across from mine, an older man was waiting for the doctor. She walked in and almost shouted, "So, you have high blood pressure, huh? Gettin' a lot of headaches?" Everyone in the whole building could hear her. After that, she came in my room and said, "You're diabetic, right? On insulin?!" I wanted to yell at her. I really don't think the whole doctor's office should know my medical history.

Dunno, my friend, I don't know your endocrinologist's nurse.

I'll tell you what though, I'd trust mine with my life. ;-)
