[Carbon Monoxide poisoning symptoms?]?!

Question: [Carbon Monoxide poisoning symptoms?]?
About a week ago, the heater in my house stopped working. Later that week, it was told by someone who was hired that there was a carbon monoxide leak. (The heater was then fully replaced).

Since then, I have been acting a bit more bizarrely than usual. I've been getting excited over nothing, and have been having laughing fits with bolts of energy (In private, naturally. Nothing funny happened, however, that might of caused it). I've also been saying some irrational things, like, "She is dating Michael C. Hall," when asked who someone was dating (Michael C. Hall is an actor).

The question is:
Could this be a side-effect from the Carbon Monoxide? Or is it just a weird-phase? I'm normally reclusive, but a tad eccentric. (The room I sleep in is right next to the room with the heater in it.)

Additional questions:
-How long might it take, if it is a side-effect, for it to subside?
-Are there any cures I could use without a doctor, or might I need one?

Answers:

At poisoning levels where people remain conscious, effects of carbon monoxide begin fading away as soon as you leave the building where the leak exists. The symptoms disappear entirely in a few hours, but people can have lingering effects like mental fogginess. Lingering effects generally do not occur unless people had large amounts of exposure resulting in headaches and nausea.
