If someone was diagnosed with urinary calculi...How?!
Question: If someone was diagnosed with urinary calculi...How?
Should they be treat(or the best treatment options). I know test results for white blood cells, blood calcium levels, CT scan, and x-ray might determine the treatment.

Generally, the first line treatment is fluids and pain relief. The hope is that the stone will pass.
In men, drugs like Flomax seem to help the passing.
The second line is lithotripsy. In this, the patient's stone is treated with ultrasound.
Lastly, uretoscopy (advancing a catheter to the stone and using a laser to break it up).
The vast majority of stones are calcium based. Strangely, calcium intake has little to do with stone formation.
