What's the problem with her lungs?!

Question: What's the problem with her lungs?
A good friend of me has a serious problem. It's that each year, in winter and other cold days, she has problems with her lungs. It's remarkable that in summer she doesn't deal with that problem anymore and can breath better. This is the fourth year that the same problem keeps coming back.

She coughs a lot, I think even each minute. One time it became so scary: she couldn't breath for a couple of seconds; she has a short breath. She doesn't smoke or something like that. She went to the doctor and took some scans, maybe in March it'll be clear what her problem is. Has anyone an idea what it could be? I'm worried about her..

By the way, we went to the sauna and she stopped coughing! That was very pleasant for her. That's one of the only ways she has found out to relax.

: Here is a cut-n-paste as a general answer to people who are experiencing lung problems. Though the seasonal nature of this should yield some clues. This is my regimen for deep cleaning the lungs. Do it all if you can and do it all at once and do it on a regular basis as needed. I bet it will help a lot. Believe it or not, lungs are very diet sensitive. I am recovering slowly but nicely from an industrial lung sypmtom set and have had asthma since 7. 43 now. Sometimes medical attention is of course prudent but this is all just foodstuffs so give it a try.

Make hot tea for her. Raspberry leaf tea may be the best type but even green tea is fine. You can get teas that are specifically formulated for respiratory health. Put fresh lemon juice in the tea. Drink it fast with a cup of hot strong coffee and take these tablets : (this is a powerfull expectorant formula)
zinc
aspirin or garlic (thins blood)
N-Acetyl-Cysteine-powerful anti-oxidant obtained at a finer health food store

do this fast, raspberry tea is best---remember; she should cough briefly but heavily within 5 or 10 minutes. It is like a deep cleaning. Do this daily or often or as needed.

English Ivy is another good supplement for breathing.

Otherwise eat a lot of salads, green salads and light on the oils and keep the citric acid in your system with the teas or eating a lemon or lime daily with hydration and your body will clean itself out.

I would not trust medical advice on this site. I would advice your friend to go to a lung specialist.
