What's the best way to take action when you're throwing up to the poin!

Question: What's the best way to take action when you're throwing up to the point of dehydration?
So my boyfriend came down with something and he's been throwing up more than he's taking in. He's starting to become dehydrated, but everytime he tries to drink water he throws it up again. I severely need help right now. Is there anyway I can get him to drink water without throwing it back up, or what? Please give me the best answers you can. I'm really scared.

You better head to the hospital if you suspect that he has dehydration. It's a serious matter, and he's better off there than worrying at home. I had the stomach flu this year, and I know what it's like. I was thirsty, but every time I tried drinking a little bit of water, I instantly threw it back up. But, luckily for me, the throwing up lasted only about a night, so the next morning I was able to drink Gatorade with no problems.

I'd stock up on electrolyte-heavy drinks like Gatorade. He may be ending the virus soon, but you never know. But remember to trust your gut. See a doctor or go to the hospital if you think it's necessary. Personally, I'd call my doctor and find out his opinion.

Take him to the hospital now.

If he can't keep water down, something's severely wrong. They'll probably need to hook him up to an IV so his body can get the fluids it needs. And they can figure out what's wrong with him.

Get him to a hospital?
