How can I heal and prevent blisters on my feet. Please help, this is bad?!

Question:

How can I heal and prevent blisters on my feet. Please help, this is bad?

I work 8 to 10 hours a day on my feet. I was born with a condition that caused the flesh on my right foot to be more sensitive and thinned than my left foot. I get horrible blisters on my right foot when over worked. I have tried wearing double socks, covering the areas with bandaids, bandages, comfortable shoes...even all of the above at once.

If you can't think of anything to help prevent these blisters, what can I do to heal them? Is there a home remedy, other than a doctor or expensive creams?

Answers:

could it be perspiration rubbing with perhaps sand in your shoes? Maybe when at home you could go without shoes or socks so that your feet could dry out and heal. Could the problem be the nylon socks or hose that you're wearing and re-wearing that causes overheating and blisters? Do you think maybe soft insoles would help cool your feet and keep them comfortable? Have you tried jobs where you sit during the day instead of walk and stand, and driving to work rather than walking? I would imagine that you can clear up those blisters like any blisters, by cortizone cream or first aid cream, but then you have to also prevent them from forming.
If there's a lot of perspiration then using baby powder or baking soda would help to dry out the feet. If you are putting a lot of cream on them to soften them then stop doing that.
