Hello Bob :) I have a few ideas that may help you.

I find one of the best ways to help reduce acne is to use a harsh exfoliating facewash once a day. Something like St. Ives Apricot Scrub is great - really helps to clear away some of the junk. Also, take a look in your kitchen cupboard and see if you have any baking soda. Baking soda is a gentler exfoliant and I find that it effectively removes oil and dead skin while being nice and cheap. Washing your face twice a day should be enough.

There are a few practical things you can also consider. Always dry your face with a separate, clean face towel or with tissues. Change your pillowcase every few days, and wash your hair every second day or so.

The person who went on about toxins didn't give you the whole picture - the root cause of acne is hormones. This is easily demonstrated in how the severity of a female's acne often reduces when birth control is taken. Also, the ONLY cure for acne is Accutane. While it is true that topical treatments cannot cure acne, they can be extremely effective in helping you deal with outbreaks etc. You must definitely use some sort of topical treatment. I recommend a benzoyl peroxide cream - it is OTC and quite cheap, and many brands manufacture it. If you want specific instructions on ways to use benzoyl peroxide, check out acne.org - it is a wonderful resource.

Another thing you could try is an occasional salt wash. Dissolve as much salt as you can in a small amount of hot water. Get some tissue/cotton wool and apply the solution to the affected area. Wash the solution off after a few minutes.

Unfortunately, getting rid of acne with minimal supplies is a little difficult. If possible, invest in a good exfoliating face wash, a simple oil-removing cleansing wash (or baking soda), and a topical treatment of some description. Facial toner that contains ingredients such as tea tree and witch hazel is also a good idea.

A good cleansing routine will really help you. Which reminds me - don't use crap like Clearasil or Proactive because it's not worth it.

I really hope that helps. Good luck.

-Hydrate, drink the recommended amount of water per day.
-Eat healthy, fresh fruit and veg. You can still eat junk food, just in moderation. Remember, less is more. More healthy options for drinks, don't overdue on the sweet or carbonated drinks.
-Don't wash your face TOO much because that can cause acne to come up even more. Natural oils are good, and by washing you're taking this away and leaving your skin dry, which creates acne to appear.
-Stick to one face wash product that's good for sensitive skin, and don't use scrubs. I was told by a doctor that scrubs are normally for older skin types, and usually people buy them because they see it in commercials. It's harsh to your skin, especially since you're still young.
-Don't touch them, or fiddle with them. They may look bad but you need to let them heal on its own, and you can cause more of them to appear if you keep touching them. It can also cause scars.
-If you're still worried, speak to a doctor who can give you more advice, they're there to help its their job, and they're also seen worse things than acne before so don't hesitate to ask.

Hope this helped xxx

Hi there,

First let me explain briefly that no topicals will ever, EVER.. CURE acne. This is a fact backed by the Health & Pharmaceutical industry.
Have you ever wondered why anti-biotic supplements can treat acne even though nothing topically changes ? The answer is simply because acne is caused internally, therefore no topical will cure it!

The cause of acne is Toxins. The manufacturer of these toxins are: candida, parasites & yeasts. Once the latter are removed the internal organs are not burdened and are able to eliminate via the primary channels of the body, namely the kidneys, liver & lymphatic system.

When toxins within the body are excessive the body is no longer capable of eliminating via the primary channels and must therefore resort to using the skin as an elimination channel.

The result is toxins surfacing to the 3 layers of the skin. The only way to CURE acne is to eliminate the manufacturers of toxins: parasites & yeasts, additionally reducing candida to its natural balance.

I have personally created a site which WILL help every acne sufferer across the globe. There is no intention to profit on people's vulnerability. This is the only way to cure acne. Please remember acne is not a "condition" or "dis-ease" it is a Symptom!

Now after looking at my site & reading all the responses. Ask yourself what is everyones intention towards you. To make money directly/indirectly OR To genuinely help you ?
