Question:

Can anyone help with ICD-9-CM coding without using E-codes or V-codes?

Pt. admit. to hosp. for a tension pneumonthorax due to gunshot wound that penetrated the chest cavity. I am a student and we just started the class and we haven't gotten into the V- and E- codes.
