Can anyone help with overcoming short term insomnia..?!
Question: Can anyone help with overcoming short term insomnia..?
As a result, I began staying up so as to avoid the nightmares. However, I was then unable to sleep for a week. I then went to a doctor whom prescribed diazepam. I was then able to sleep but woke up in the middle of the nights. I also know they have side effects and am now wondering if there are any natural ways to get sleep because its going for three weeks now and am terrified with the lack of sleep I get.
Thanks

Just look for the "Sleep" article and make sure you choose the one in English :)

Do nightly rituals before bed to help you unwind. Try turning of the tv and doing something else for an hour before bed, dim the lights, drink decaffinated tea or milk. Or listen to classical music or a book on tape as you fall asleep to help you relax and get your mind off of the anxieties during the day and focus in on relaxing and getting a good nights sleep.
