Is 160bpm during exercise normal ?!

Question:

Is 160bpm during exercise normal ?

when i exercise in the gym , ie , walk or cycle my heart rate reached 160 bpm , is this normal ? im 17yrs old
also does anaemia or previous history of asthma affect it ?

Answers:

Theoretically, your maximum heart rate is 220-your age. In your case, this would be 220-17 = 203. You can easily achieve 160 bmp during vigorous exercise. As long as you don't feel faint, and recover reasonably quickly, I believe that anemia and asthma history are not a factor. (I'm not an MD)
