Which places in the world still have people suffering from Leprosy?!
Question:
Which places in the world still have people suffering from Leprosy?
Answers:
Many places; India, Somalia, pretty much the countries that have officially "eradicated" leprosy.
Keep in mind that 'eradicated' means they've reduced the number of people diagnosed with leprosy to <1 case/10,000 population. Doesn't mean no cases!
In fact, one of my students in Africa is doing a paper on leprosy. It still exists less than 200km from where I live.
