Is this a cold or sinus infection? Anything else it might be?!
Question: Is this a cold or sinus infection? Anything else it might be?
Today I smelled coffee when there was no reason to do so. Olfactory hallucinations are a symptom of sinusitis. I've also had a couple extremely dizzy spells without reason.
Other than this, the only symptoms I've had is a bit of mucus in my nose when I wake up, a spot way in the back of my nostril that feel like it might be dried or chaffed (that is driving me crazy), and I've felt a little run down.
It mostly just seems like a minor cold, but between the nosebleeds, the coffee smell, and the dizziness, I'm wondering if I shouldn't get it checked out.

Don't know where you live...but I used to suffer bad nose bleeds when I lived up north in Kentucky during winter months. Running heat or furnace, fireplaces etc...they dry the air, thus drying your nose. It would cause me to sometimes feel I had thick mucus clogged in sinus. But dry air can dry nose. The skin is very thin in nose, and can cause to bleed. Maybe should still get checked, but humidifier will oonly help whatever the problem. If spaceheaters are source of heat, take metal coffee can, fill with water and sit on top of spaceheaters to help add moisture, or buy humidifiers.
Personal experience, how that problem solved years ago
