The rash will be a reaction to the treatment. Be very careful just to put it on the warts. It might be good to put a barrier, such as vaseline, on the surrounding skin. The action of the cream is to burn off the warts, so it will burn the surrounding skin also! There are other, kinder treatments out there (check the site below)
Please remember not to have unprotected sex, even after the warts have gone, as he may still be infected.

Umm, just so you know, there is no cure for genital warts. And if you've slept w/him, you might want to see your own doctor. Have had a couple friends with different std's, most require more treatment than just a cream. The warts are a papiloma? Or part of the herpes virus. Needs more than a cream. If it hurts a lot, and is legitimate cream from doctor...I would say quit using and call doctor. They can go in remission with proper medication, but can always have outbreaks at anytime, and remission doesn't meanno longer contagious. And he can also pass along or you can contract the warts thru oral sex as well. Admittedly, neither friend had warts, but I think treatments are penicillans and such. If cream for a relief of something, I don't know if genital warts cause itching or swelling...but only suggestion I can think of is stop using, wash it and call doc, maybe allergy, take some benadryl.

Are you still having sex ? if so you probably are passing this back and forth. you may b=need to be treated also. If they're not to bad why doesn't he have them burned off.

you should go to doctors immediately.
