Good grief! With a medical history of leg and lung clots PLUS being on the pill mini or not, plus that Blood pressure, add in the family history and you are a walking time bomb for stroke or heart problems.
Bin the cigarettes NOW. Discuss contraception with doctor ASAP.
I'm not too sure I would wait till Monday.
I don't like the sound of the heavy chest pain.

Hi there,

You have so many risk factors going on at the moment. If I was in your position, I would be trying to see my gp sooner if possible. As others have mentioned, the lower reading of 99 is still too high and I would presume that your gp would want to start you on some bp meds to help bring it back to within normal levels.

I would be seriously questioning the use of the contraceptive pill - be it mini or otherwise - if I had a history of dvt's. (My doctor refused to give me the pill because my mum had the history of dvt's, that was 20 years ago.)

Smoking - well as a smoker you have no doubt heard all the reasons for giving up, I gave up on the day I went into hospital with a suspected heart attack!! It is certainly the single most important thing I could have done to help my health..........give some serious thought to it, it may be the difference between living a long happy life or having a very short, unhealthy and painful one!!
(Anyone that thinks it is too hard to give up should think again, I smoked 20/30 a day for nearly 30 years.....I stopped without any problems whatsoever because at the end of the day, the addiction is all in the head - crack that and it becomes one of the easiest things in the world.)

I would not expect you recently having a nasty cold to have put your bp up. It is up because your heart is having to work harder to do the job it was intended to do.

My advice is simple, see if you can see your gp or practice nurse sooner, find another form of contraception and give up smoking.

I wish you a long, happy and healthy future :)

Just undergone a complex and complicated stenting procedure, I am now looking forward to a much healthier future :)

This is quite high bp for your age, especially the lower reading, which means your heart is not functioning well. You have to monitor your bp during week in the morning and in the evening to be sure this was not a one off event due to stress or something else... If you find that over a week this is more or less your bp then you have to take it quite seriously and improve your style of life by not smocking, eating healthy etc... You are still young and could still improve your health. Please find a page on holistic approach with some interesting onfo www.squidoo.com/holisticapproach

Is this a serious question??? Yes your blood pressure is high. 120 or 80 is now considered stage 1 hypertensive. You smoke which increases you bp. I think you would take a hint by now......heading in the wrong direction.

blimmy if you had d.v.t and pulmonary embolism plus taking pill i would trot down to dr...i think it your english(mine no better) you saying you are non smoker and weight ok it bit confusing....it in respect of your medical history i would be concered, only concerned do not panic that make it worse, take it easy until you see dr

you should go to doctors immediately.

you may want to see your doctor about some meds. 99 on bottom is high
