Insullin and chest pain?!
Question: Insullin and chest pain?
I have a sliding scale for taking my Insulin. How ever, my sugar still spikes. Then I need to take more to get the number down. In the mean time , I have rapid heart and discomfort. After time passes, it goes away. I told my specialist and heart doc and they don't seem concerned. Pretty scary for me.... not to mention it hurts.

you have not given the complete picture . Your age , any other medical illness ,What type of insulin you are taking and how much you increase , who has advised to increase the dose? If everything is ok , then if you are taking plain insulin it may decrease the sugar level abruptly and cause these symptoms . You can take sugar before the injection. If still persist it may be due to anxiety . Better you can have ecg or thread mill to rule out heart disease. Have your lipids tested to assess the risk
