Can A Chest Cold Turn Into Pneumonia?!
Question: Can A Chest Cold Turn Into Pneumonia?
Answers:
Yes they can in the immunosupressed person. Meaning that they have a some other factor that causes their immune system not to be as strong as a normal individual. Such as Diabetes or being on Chemotherapy. Sound more like just the lingering cough left behind from the initial illness. This is not abnormal and the pain you describe is from the sore and strained intercostal muscles that get a good workout when coughing. They are the muscles that connect the ribs and the sternum. Strong coughing can cause all kinds of sore muscles. If you really think you have pneumonia make an appointment with your doctor to have some sputum cultures done and start a course of antibiotics. Good luck.

Yes. it is possible for a chest cold to become pneumonia, but it is usually accompanied with other symptoms, such as fever, chills, wet sounding cough. if you are still having a cough, best would be to see your primary doctor about possible antibiotics or other treatment needs.
