could it be genital herpes?!

Question: Could it be genital herpes?
Ok, so last week I went to the doctor to have my physical done, she checked me out said evey thing looks fine, as of now I'm still waiting on my pap result.

Sunday night I had sex with the person I've been seeing there has only been one other person with in 6 months.

Tuesay I notice my vigina lips to be a lil sore, wed the were more sore a lil swollen and itch, they yesturday it was exteremly sore n swollen n itchy n red only this time I noticed bumps, I immediatly made a doctor appt, she told me she's going to take a sample for a herpes text. I hadn't taken a shower from Sunday to wed ( gross I know) my I always clean in that area with wipes.

As of today it is more sore but no longer itches, it is still red and swelled and has sores, the itch stopped after I took a shower n it wasn't as sore after I took a shower.
as well.

I have recently talked to the other partner he was checked for herpes it came back nigitive, I'm waiting for the test results before I tell my other partner as I have been with him more then the other, he has told me I'm the only person he has been sleeping with so I'm not worring about him spreding it.

An if I have it I believe I got it from him, but can/does herpes usually apper this fast??

And information would be helpful, will find out next week weather or not I have it, but from what I have read an seen I think it is.

An if it is is what can I do to reduce the risk of passing it , or curing the sore faster??

It sort of sounds like herpes, it can occur with in 3-30 days of receiving oral sex or having intercourse with some one that has herpes.
You should know pap smears are usually used to detect genital warts. If they didn't take a sample of the break out then you probably weren't tested for herpes and just a visual exam is not a very reliable way to get diagnosed. Also herpes isn't usually included in the routine std exams, if all he got done was an std test then he probably wasn't tested for herpes either.
You can take antiviral medication regularly to help reduce the risk of passing it as well as using condoms in between break outs and never having intercourse or oral sex while you have a break out. If you take medication or suppressants right when you first feel symptoms you can even help prevent a break out from happening. Your break outs should get less sever over time. You should also be honest with your future partners and let them know of your status if you want to get intimate with them.

Yes, you can get it fast. I've never heard of the symptoms you're talking about. Usually it's blisters. Wait to hear what the doctor says.

It certainly could be herpes, but it could also be an allergic reaction to something. Do you always use the same wipes to clean your vagina? You could have developed a sensitivity, especially if you use scented ones. There are also rare cases of being allergic to a protein in semen. Of course, herpes is much more common than that allergy.
If you did contract herpes, it doesn't have to ruin your life. There is medicine to prevent outbreaks and shorten them when they do occur, and you are only contagious just before and during an outbreak.
My best friend has had herpes for years now, and she actually uses this stuff to help her symptoms and shorten her breakouts: http://bit.ly/hvTQph
She tried the free trial stuff, and she wasn't too sure before she tried it, but she says it works great and she always has some in her purse in case of a flare up.
Wait and see what your doc says. Good luck!
