Can anyone help me with this problem I've been having from a navel piercing!

Question: Can anyone help me with this problem I've been having from a navel piercing?
About 5yrs ago I went get my navel pierced, and had no problems at first for awhile. I always cleaned it like I should and took care of it so I wouldn't get an infection. 2yrs later I got pregnant, and after a few months I decided to stop wearing the piercing all together because I noticed I started getting a blister like black bump right above my navel. It doesn't leak at all or smell, it just itches and its kinda hard. At the time when I was pregnant, I questioned the doctor about it and she just told me she kinda of had an idea of what it could be but thats all she said and she just lanced it, cleaned it, put some neosporin and a bandaid on it and prescribed some antibiotic creme to put on it to stop the itching Till this day I still have it, and I'm just wondering if anybody else had this problem and what is the best thing that I can do to get rid of it if possible?

Answers:

I don't have anything like this but I do know that you should return to see a doctor. The medical profession expect you to return if you still have a problem. If you don't return and complain about a problem then they are totally oblivious that you still have any problem with your naval.

Basically the doctor will attemp the first step of treatment. If it works - fine! However if it doesn't work then they will attempt the next step and so on. For this process to take place though, first of all you have to go back!

Maybe you don't feel that it is a big problem and you can live with it but if it were me I would return to the doctor and ask:
1. Is this cured?
2. Is it a problem that needs further treatment?
3. What is it?
4 Can you treat it or do I need specialist treatment?
5. What can I do to self-care
