Tightness in chest when eating or drinking?!


Question:

Tightness in chest when eating or drinking?

I played football this past Sunday, ever since that game I am experiancing tightness or a blockage in my chest when I eat or drink....The food or drink will go down fine till it hits my upper chest...then it almost sits in a lump for a few seconds then goes down....Any thoughts on that?

There is no pain that goes with this....Plus we were playing two hand touch....I did alot of lowering of my shoulder into people...

Well, it sounds like you have some sort of problem in your esophagus - that's the pipe your food goes down. I'm not sure how a football injury could cause this, but if it doesn't go away you should probably have it checked out.
