How do I know if I've got a cold or hayfever?!

Question:

How do I know if I've got a cold or hayfever?

I've never had hayfever before in my life, however the past week I've had a runny itchy nose, puffy eyes and a feeling of lethargy!
Any idea's?
Oh, and food tastes different to usual sometimes....

Answers:

I had hay fever once, 11 years ago. My GP gave me some anti-histamines and it went less than a week later. That was before you could buy them over the counter. Try taking something like Piriteze or Benadryl both of which are available over the counter, and if it goes then you know it's hay fever. Food will taste differently because if your nose is bunged up it will stop you smelling it and smell is a part of taste - sounds daft but it is true.
