H.I.V Itchy skin please help?!

Question: H.I.V Itchy skin please help?
Ok so long story short i had unprotected sex with four guys and ive been having SEVERE dry skin all over my body including my scalp. Its been going on for like 4 or 5 months now.Ive also been getting rashes from where i itch it. I heard this is common with people with hiv and im freaking out. Its been 9 months since my last sexual encounter. Can i mentally be causing these skin problems?

Answers:

People with HIV do not itch it is not common in them. Your problem is something else then HIV. It sounds like to me what ever you have you have had it before you had sex. You need to see a doctor and I am sure it is not HIV. That is not how HIV works once it inter your body. Stop freaking out and see a doctor the longer you wait things will get even bad then what they are. SEE A DOCTOR WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM,

Because of your history you should go to the clinic and get tested for STIs no matter what the rash is caused by. Stress can cause a lot of things including aggravating conditions like psoriasis. Don't scrub, use hot water or lots of soap. Moisturize at least once daily, better twice. See the dermatologist if this doesn't help.

Itch is not a common initial symptom of HIV.

possibly yes it is mental..and most health clinics can do a hiv test and give you the results within minutes..or it could be a food allergy..as we get older sometimes we become sensitive to things that didn't bother us when were younger..all in all get the test/s for any std's to know where you stand..

Itchy skin is commonplace in HIV patients: Urticaria & Angioedema are common
