Question: Is there an over-the-counter equivalent for Tetracycline?
I'm running low, and I need an temporary substitute. There are no hospitals where I live. The closest is 30 miles away.
I'm using it to treat acne. Is there anything I can buy, which doesn't have to be prescribed, which I can take instead? The medication I'm taking now is waaaaaaaay expired, so I can't really refill the prescription.

No, there are no over the counter equivalents to tetracycline. Nothing even close. You'll have to go to the doctor for that one.

Tetracycline is an antibiotic and there are NO antibiotics that are over the counter. They all have to be prescribed by a physician. You will have to wait until Monday and call your doctor for a refill.
