They most likely all have aids from sharing needles.it takes a long while for aids to show up by then it is full blown. im interested in the med that prolongs aids? as i work in medical and never have heard of it. please edit and say what med it is? or better yet i will do my own research. thanks. beauty has nothing to do with aids as it can strike anyone. there is a test you can take within 6 to 12 months that lets you know if the count of the white blood cells which are the bad blood cells that gives one an idea if one has aids. you start out with cold flu symptoms after being with someone with aids. which the symptoms take effect 3 weeks after sexually contact. also, hep c is contagious having sexual relations. thanks and star

the methadone clinic will not test for aids they need a physcian or a free clinic for aids testing. they are really messed up. thanks ps. id like to add you however you are not excepting contacts.(:

Having HIV is always a 50/50 shot. Some people live their lives in a risky way and somehow manage to avoid HIV while others get it from what they think is an innocent one night stand. While they may be at a higher risk for HIV, they don't necessarily have it. They should be encouraged to get tested just like every other sexually active person in the country. The best defense we have against HIV is knowing you have it so spreading it can stop with you. Make sure your friend knows that a symptom free year means nothing when it comes to HIV. Most people don't get symptoms of initial infection and won't get symptoms for 8 to 10 years later when it starts to become AIDS. Early detection makes the chances of living a long healthy life much greater. There are new treatments for HIV which are allowing people to live almost normal life spans with the disease. Knowledge is power, get tested, know your status.
