Acute sinusitis, help please :(?
about a week ago i had what i thought was a cold, and then it felt like it was completely gone.. two days later it came back. i went to the doctor thursday and he told me i had acute sinusitis and prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg, i'm supposed to take 2 three times a day every 8 hours. i've been doing that but i see no difference so far. i've had an extremely runny nose since about wednesday of last week and it hasn't gone away one bit. i've been getting headaches especially if i lean my head forward or look down. lastnight i had a headache all night and when i woke up i still had it. my throat isn't soar or anything. it's just extremely runny nose. when is the amoxicillin going to start working? blowing my nose every second is becoming extremely annoying. thanks everyone :) also does anyone know of any other remedies that may help it go away?

I think you just have common cold and a little bit of cervical spondilitis.
Continue with the medicines but you must also do steam inhalation. The common cold takes a week. You should also do some neck-exercises.
Try considering a second visit to your doctor so that he can look into your persisiting symptoms.
try taking an over the counter pill like sudafed sinus headache. I took that when I had a sinus infection and I began to feel better in a couple hours. Amoxicillin helps with the infection but not necessarily for the symptoms so sudafed should help.
