With modern HIV tests, you can consider 6 weeks to 2 months to be pretty much conclusive. Testing centers, as well as the CDC, are probably always going to say at least 3-6 months just to cover themselves for legal reasons. The only people who are really going to take any longer than 2-3 months to show up positive are cancer patients on chemo, people with severely depressed immune systems, people who have just received an organ transplant, etc. Basically if you are one of these people, you are going to know it because you would probably be in laying in a hospital bed right now. So to answer your question, 10 days prior to 3 months would still be conclusive in my opinion.

There is a window period of 3 months!! if you take it any time before three months you COULD have a false negative (meaning it shows negaive when you really are positive). They now consider taking the test 6 months after to know for sure you are negative or positive! So I suggest take another test 3 months after doing your first testing to know for sure
