According to the Associated Press, there is now new evidence suggesting that overall sun exposure in childhood, not just sunburns, is a big key to who will eventually develop deadly skin cancer. An ongoing study of the interaction of genes and UV exposure in United States and Australian melanoma patients suggests that staying out of the sun's rays early in life is far more important than scientists previously believed.
