Technically yes, it is an extremely low grade fever. It really means nothing and is not considered a fever though, unless you are a very young infant. Your body's core temperature (anal) is usually going to read 99. 98.6 is just an average, but the temperature fluctuates throughout the day and by activity.
Don't worry about it, it doesn't even need to be treated. Just keep an eye on it, checking your temp. every few hours.
“Normal” temperature is about 37°C or 98.6°F. However, it can be as low as 36.1°C (97°F) in the early morning to a high of 37.2°C (99°F) in the evening and still be considered normal. An infant may have a higher than normal temperature if he/she is overdressed. Also, if it is hot outside or if the room is hot, a baby’s temperature may rise.
So it depends. (=
Anything above the normal 98.6 is considered a fever. Keep checking yours for a few days and it should start getting back to normal. If it stays up or goes higher, check back with your doctor.
It could be just a little fever. Normal temperature is usually 98.0 degrees. It can be fatal if it goes over 102.0 degrees
99.3 is considered a low grade fever.
Yes but very minor, check it again...Temperatures fluctuate during the day...

98.6 is regular body temp, 99.3 is by no means high
