What illness/disease might I have?!

Question: What illness/disease might I have?
Well, my nose is stuffed up. And I'm kind of tired, Also my knee kind of hurts. I was also wondering if its possible to read about an illness or disease and then get symptoms of the disease because I read about SARS and then I started having symptoms. Also if thats possible does anyone else have it?

Answers:

You definitely don't have SARS--No need to worry about that.

However, the mind is a very powerful thing, and can manifest many different things in the body. For example, if I find myself thinking about a headache, often, I will get one.

My best guess is that you have a minor cold, and researching SARS has left you with a touch of hypochondria (an excessive preoccupation with one's health, usually focusing on some particular symptom)

Well it is impossible for you to have SARS because that was a deadly disease introduced years ago but also has disappeared so you don't have to worry about that. Looking at your symptoms it could be a rheumatic fever, usually brought on my rheumatoid arthritis. This is a type of arthritis that also affects the immune system. Other symptoms of rheumatic fever or this time of arthritis could be swollen knee, red knee, hot knee, difficulty moving joint, and pain. If any of these symptoms persist or do not apply or just need more info go to your local doctor for a proper diagnostic just to be safe. I hope this helps.
