Wife and child out of the house due to strep throat. Should I drink beer?!

Question: Wife and child out of the house due to strep throat. Should I drink beer?
I have been contaminated with strep throat. Due to this health complication my wife and six month old have fled to a strep free zone (grandparent's house). While this affliction has its well known annoyances, I have been afforded a Saturday night all to myself.

I would hate to waste this opportunity sitting around my house sober so here is a medical breakdown from the last 48 hours.

-Throat started to hurt on Thursday.
-Went to work on Friday and noticed a little white thing on a tonsil.
-Left work and noticed that the little white thing had called all of her friends to come over and throw a rager in my mouth.
-Went to the Doctor and was prescribed amoxicillin.
-Took first pill at 6pm.
-Awoke Saturday mourning to realize that the all the little white things apparently broke a sh@t load of glass in my throat.
-Headache began and persisted prompting me to take a single Tylenol pill (350 mg) at 11:50a.
-Wife and superstar left me home alone for the first time since December 28th, 2010.
-I have been continuously consuming non-alcoholic beverages all day.
-I have now taken 3 amox pills.

-If you are going to tell me that I should not drink and take pills...save it. Amoxicillin does not react with alcohol.
Don't be a buzz kill, I am looking to shred. I await your response.

Um, you pretty much aren't interested in a educated response. So, most of us will be buzz kills and tell you - grow up and do what's right to get you better and your family home. Duh.
