What causes H Pylori to become active?!
Question:
What causes H Pylori to become active?
I just tested positive for H Pylori Disease.
If this disease lies dormant for years, what caused it to become active.
I am a nurse aide and have been told I could have come in contact with a patient's vomit or feces. I always wear gloves.
I was injured on the job and for months took high doses of ibeprophnen.
Could any of this caused the bacteria to surface.
I was bleeding internally and had to be hospitalized for blood tranfusions, my hdl was 7.4.
Answers:
The high dose of Ibuprofen may have caused some damage to the protective lining of your stomach. That would have given the H. Pylori a chance to invade and infect your stomach tissue. I would avoid NSAIDs in the future.
