I recently found out that someone I knew died after not getting treatment for her asthma.

As carbon dioxide accumulates in the body, it causes narcosis called CO2 narcosis. It is lot of discomfort in the beginning, but once CO2 narcosis develops, patient is not aware. God is merciful.
