I think I might have HIV?!

Question: I think I might have HIV?
My hands are actually shaking as I write this now. I don't even know if I have it. I probably don't. But I might. I've been on a ton of websites and I am just freaking out, I don't understand what any of them say, its all so complicated.
With the right meds and treatments, how long could someone with HIV be expected to live for?
Will it be noticable in daily life?
I gotta son, is there anyway of passing it onto him? He's 16 months and I had unprotected sex (reciving) about a month ago. There isn't a way is there? What is it? Will it get in the way of caring for him?
Will they take my son away from me?
Will I have to tell bosses etc?
Is there no cure at all?
I don't know what to ask. I just need some help and infomation right now.

First things first, just breathe and relax, and then get tested. Remember to get several tests because you could test negative for up to six months after contracting it. If you take a test after six months from having the unprotected sex and it's negative, then you don't have HIV. It's a complete pain to have to do that, but unfortunately, that's how it is. I'm sorry, I hope everything is ok!

No cure as of yet. Unless you mix up your blood with your son's somehow, (like covering up a graze or cut on his knee and you have your blood on your hands) then there is no proven way that he can catch it. You can share your dinner off the same plate and drink from the same glass perfectly safely. There are meds to help keep it at bay. You could live until you're 80 years old or more with HIV. It will not kill you. Go to the Dr, get a blood test. How else will you know?

I have HIV and I am an engineer who works for the largest STD dating and support site STDslove. com. I have to tell you a secret, you can choose not to believe me. But the truth is that this site has more than 1,880,000 members and about 80% members are good looking in my estimation.

Unfortunately, STD rates soar worldwide and most people with STDs don't even know that they have them. The government should grant more money for STD education to lower the rates of STD transmission.

you are freaking out for no reason, if you have HIV you can live forever, having HIV not necessarily you get aids, have the test and if comes out negative have it again 6 months later , you cannot pass it to your son unless you are breast feeding him,

First, calm down. Breathe.
HIV isn't a death sentence any more. One can live a full an satisfying life with HIV, were talking 80, 85 or more.
Of course an HIV patient would require regular medical care and medication put it wouldn't stop you from taking care of your so and there is no way (unless of course you don't take care of him well) that social services will take your son away from you.
The first thing you have to do, even if the odds are little of you to have hiv is to get tested. You cannot know for sure other wise. The tests are painless. You will have to take more than one test at different time intevals just to make sure you're fine, as the virus takes a little while to show itself.
Given that IF your are possitive, they may be years before you start showing actual symptoms, but you will have to signify anyone you have sex with that you are positive and be careful not to get in contact with anyone's blood, and not get your blood in contact with anyone.
I don't know the laws in your location but it is possible, depending on your job that you will have to tell your boss about a your condition, again, given that you get tested positive.

There is no cure as of today for HIV, but doctors and researchers out there are working terribly hard in order to do it.

Again, don't worry too much, you won't necessarily be tested positive.

Stay calm, good luck, and try to be more careful ok?
