Beauty mark or mole?

well my dad has this dark (meat like) mole that pops out from the back of his neck, its been there ever since he was small and its like a meatball thats really small smaller then a tiny marshmallow and almost like the size of 2 lady bugs. any suggestions if its dangerous

first things first; thank you for ruining my dinner. i don't think its dangerous since its been there since he was a little boy(or small, as you put it). he might want to see a doctor though. next time, leave "food" out of the description!! thank you!! lol
