Itchy bumps all over body?!

Question:

Itchy bumps all over body?

They're not red or anything. They look like mosquito bites but they're not. Some are really small and others are a lil bit bigger. If I itch more they seem to get bigger but that just could be in my head. Also, it started like a day ago. I haven't eaten anything different or took some weird medicine or anything so I have NO IDEA what it could be.

I did more research about hives and there were people talking about it being able to get to your throat so you wouldn't be able to breathe. Are my hives that serious? I'm freaking out.

Answers:

hives can spring up at any time and for any reason-you can react to the smallest thing (especially if you're allergy prone)

my 4 year old daughter has several allergies and has, on many occasions, broken out into hives w/out me even knowing what the cause was!! it's so frustrating.

take oral benadryl (1-2 of the 25mg tablets) every 6 hours as needed but no more than 4 doses in 24 hours. this will make you sleepy so no driving. this will help stop the itching and get rid of the bumps.

if you don't want to be sleepy-you can try using the benadryl cream instead-just put it wherever you have the bumps.

if this happens often-talk to your dr about getting an allergy screen done. this can help determine what you might be reacting to and help avoid the outbreak in the future
