Can someone tell me what this is...?

I've had a non-itch brown rash for quite sometime (I'm caucasion) around the front of my neck lining my lower jawline. I've seen it on other women in public, but would never ask them about it. I'm 47 years old, could it have something to do with menopause? I'm just now in peri-menopause and I've had this for a few years now.

Actually, I'm not sure if you'd call it a rash. It's pigment in the skin, not raised bumps.

It sounds like hyperpigmentation caused by excess melanin.Melanin causes skin pigmentation and more is darker.this is usually a harmless condition.Some causes are sun exposure,pregnancy,&cases of acne.by the way i never noticed it
