I was told by the doctor I have a chest infection, but do I have pneumonia? ?!

Question: I was told by the doctor I have a chest infection, but do I have pneumonia? ?
I was put on antibiotics, but my symptoms seem to be getting worse, coughing up blood, finding it hard to breathe, very tired, my skin sometimes turns a purple sort of colour, my cough is also very chesty and I'm coughing up thick phlegm with blood... I don't wanna go back to the doctor and look stupid by saying I think I have Pneumonia...

Go to your A+E - you need a chest x-ray.
Also, whatever your coughing up, try to put it in a pot of some kind and take it with you - they can look at it and give you antibiotics to suit you.
Your symptoms are getting worse - this should not normally happen if your current meds were working.

Go now!

Go to your local A&E it sounds like your chest infection hasn't responded to the antibiotics and has worsened, you need to see a Dr as soon as possible, hope you feel better soon.

Duuuude, you're coughing up blood...definitely won't look stupid the least bit, it would be stupid if you left it...
I would investigate that!

its better that if you check with doctors.

you won't look stupid, with your symptoms, please go back to the doctor.
