Brown patches on the face? What could they be? Help please !?
My daughter has light brown patches of skin on each side of her nose about an inch under the eyes and about 3 inches across. They are a perfect shape, not really patches at all? Does anyone know what this could be? She is caucasian.

Sounds like melasma...which is hyperpigmentation of the skin.
I have it, and it looks like light to medium patches of tan. It can come from sun damage or from certain medications.
A dermatologist can help you out with a correct diagnosis and medication to help if that's what it is.
