Do not use RIT or any other lice treatment, it is now considered a pesticide and could seriously harm your child especially if they are under age 6, the skull on children under six is still not completely fused and chemicals from the pesticide could cause brain damage. The best things to use is Cetaphil, it is a face mousturizer/cleanser. when applies to the hair and blowdried it makes for a "shrink wrap" effect that suffocates lice and their eggs. after removing the treatment wash hair as normal, clip into segments and brush each segmaent thoroughly with a fine tooth comb. if problems persist, repeat treatment.
