Tonsillectomy?
Back in the Dark Ages I had my tonsils removed. What are they and do they have a purpose?
Answers:
They're part of the lymph system and produce white blood cells. They're more important as a baby but as you get older the rest of your lymph system develops more and they're not as useful so it's no biggie if they're removed.
