Question: What is this itchy rash that welts up flattens out then welts up again?
ive had this annoying rash on my upper arms & a few on upper legs that have been welting up & very itchy the biggest one is the size of a dime the other are pea size but they welt up itch & then they flatten out & don't itch its been occurring for past 5 months ive never had a skin condition before what could this be? will it ever disappear on its own? ive tried OTC meds & benadryl they do not work

that sounds like hives and you are probably reacting to something. it could be as simple as dry skin or a new detergent, new body wash, new shampoo, something that you keep coming in contact with.

My daughter often gets them when she gets a virus.
I get them on my face when it is winter and the air is very dry and until I switched to a heavier moisturizer for my face, I had them every winter.
Stress can also set them off.
