If you kiss someone while an outbreak is occurring, and its just a peck, can you spread oral herpes?

Oral herpes is very contagious while there are any visible signs of a cold sore. If you kiss some one on or around the mouth you have a very good chance of passing it.
But oral herpes is very common to have, some one could only get it if they don't have cold sores or fever blisters. Most people get it when they were children by being innocently kissed by some one that has cold sores.
You have a very high risk of catching herpes from just that kiss.
